Organize + Energize: 4 Spaces to Declutter & Organize in September

Here we are again in a new month! I’m giving you 4 more spaces to declutter. Mark these areas in your calendar for this month and make a plan to tackle them.
TV Console. When was the last time you actually checked in with this space? How many of you have VCR tapes stored here but got rid of the VCR years ago? It’s time to evaluate what’s going on in this space. Take everything out and give it a good dusting and think about what needs to go back into this space. Look at the empty space and think about how you want to function going forward.
Mail. So many people are overwhelmed by the mail that arrives every day. They’re overwhelmed because they don’t have a system to process it and it ends up getting thrown in a pile with the rest of the mail that hasn’t been looked through in months. Empty the entire closet and take inventory. Create your vision for this closet. Give it a purpose. It could be used for coats, seasonal items, active gear, or supplies. It’s up to you! You know how you function and grab items. Just be sure to organize and designate spots for everything you’re keeping here.
Spare Bedroom Closet. What’s hiding in your spare bedroom closet? When was the last time you actually took everything out of this closet? You may find that there are things in here that you were searching for or things you forgot you had. Follow the same process as the hall closet.
Overwhelmed by everything you have to declutter and organize in your home? Take it one step at a time and one small area at a time. Every month I’m giving you 4 spaces so that you won’t be overwhelmed and you can wrap your head around this process, because it is a process. Think about the end result. The energy in your home will shift to a more positive flowing energy. You’ll be less stressed and you’ll become more efficient and productive.
