NEW: 1st “Ocean State Food Truck Round-Up” Tonight in Providence

Tonight marks the first ever Ocean State Food Truck Park "Food Truck Round-Up" in Providence, with music, movies, games, and beer and wine, in addition to some of the region's best mobile eateries.
The event will take place from to 5 PM to 10 PM at the Ocean State Food Truck Park at 50 Niantic Avenue. There is no charge for admission.

Eric Weiner, founder of the rapidly growing (and Rhode Island-based) website FoodTrucksIn, spoke with GoLocal about the rising popularity of the meals on wheels.

Our goal is to be the go to source for locating and learning about food trucks across the country. We are particularly excited to see the recent explosion of trucks and events in our home state of Rhode Island," said Weiner.
He continued, "Just this weekend alone, there are numerous events across the state featuring food trucks. We are happy to have them all listed on our website and are proud to be sponsoring the beer and wine tent at the 1st Ocean State Food Truck Park Round Up. Over a dozen trucks, entertainment, games, beer and wine. What a great way to start the weekend!"
Great Food -- and Prizes
Trucks slated to attend this evening include Championship Melt, Clam Jammers, Dad's Dugout, Garbo Lobsta, Grotto on the Go, Joedega, Lady Copacabana, Paco's Tacos, Presto Strange O, Radish Gourmet, The Salad Man and Juice Bar, Rhodies Food Truck, The Galley Wagon, The Roling Tomato, and Uncle D's Blazin BBQ. Trinity Brewhouse will be selling beer and wine.
