Rhode Island and Donuts

While donuts might be tasty to eat, they have been at the center of a number of controversies in Rhode Island. 

Allie’s Donuts in North Kingston went from “RI Favorite to Polarizing” after proclaiming last year they would no longer give a discount to military and law enforcement. 

In 2015, GoLocal was first to report that a Dunkin’ Donuts worker wrote “Black Lives Matter” on a police officer’s cup — who went to social media to share his reaction.
