A New Year’s Eve “Day Graze” is on Tap at This Providence Restaurant

A popular Wayland Square restaurant has a new New Year’s Eve offering — a “day graze” and brunch on Saturday, December 31.

The Salted Slate, which is known for its meats, cheeses, innovative seasonal menus and cocktails, is mixing things up this year. 

In years past, the neighborhood bar and eatery has held nighttime parties to ring in the new year. 

This year — it is starting the fun early for folks who want to start their New Year’s Eve festivities during the daytime. 

“Doing a little switcheroo for NYE this year. Day Graze and Brunch starts at 11:00 am and runs until 5:00 pm,” owner Ben Lloyd announced. 

There will be tapas-style offerings starting mid-afternoon — and lounge seating— available for the daytime celebrations.

According to Lloyd, it will be an ideal destination for anyone who wants to ring in the new year on the earlier side — but also an ideal starting point for folks who might want to kick-off the year-end fun early.

Cutest - Noon Year's Eve

Providence Children’s Museum (PCM) said it is "pleased to announce" Rhode Island’s cutest, first, and earliest New Year’s Eve Celebration, “Noon Year’s Eve” on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at its South Street location.

Ring in the new year with special guest Rock-a-baby Music, Presto Strange-O Coffee Truck, and a chance to win gifts from local vendors. 

PCM will be open for the morning session only with the ball drop at noon. Guests will enjoy festivities such as dancing, playing with musical instruments, and a New Year’s Eve parade – all of which will take place outside. The Countdown and formal Ball Drop will take place in the Children’s Garden at noon sharp to accommodate early bedtimes of the youngest revelers. 

Raffle tickets will be available for purchase throughout the morning with donated prizes from Trader Joe’s, Plant City, Tiny Bar, Sin Bakery, Providence River Cruises, and more! 

VINTAGE HOLLYWOOD NYE BALL

Welcome 2023 with a vintage Hollywood-era ball!

DJ Kabeza, OG Pauly D, and special guests! Dancing, hors d'oeuvres, champagne toast & more. Costumes/1920's-1940's outfits and accessories encouraged and welcomed, cocktail attire dress code.

"Revue Year's Eve" -- No Regrets!

It's the eighth New Year's Eve edition of Providence's premier sketch and variety show. This year The Wilbury is getting rowdy with "No Regrets" in 2023! 

According to the Empire Revue:

We are extremely excited to be hosted by our friends at The Wilbury Theatre - their fantastic space at the Waterfire Center for the Arts will be the launching point for the New Year! They’ll be serving up drinks at their beautiful new bar all evening.

The show is hosted by musician and entertainer Keith Munslow and features sketch comedy by The Sparkling Beatniks along with a variety of special guest acts!

And wear those cute dancing shoes, 'cause after the comedy show, the Superchief Trio takes over for a dance party, featuring their unique combination of two-fisted piano, red hot trombone, blazing guitar, rock solid bass, powerful vocals and frenzied percussion antics to boogie your way into the New Year!
