New York Times bestselling author Jane Green will appear in Rhode Island in September at An Evening With Authors.

Three best-selling authors--Jane Green, Sarah McCoy, and Jenna Blum--will join radio host Robin Kall in Rhode Island at the Providence Public Library for the fifth installment of An Evening With Authors 2013 on September 25th at 7pm. The event's move to Providence's Public Library will also showcase the latest renovations to the beloved city institution.

The event, which draws avid readers and sells out well in advance every year--gives guests the opportunity to spend an intimate evening with some of America’s most beloved writers while supporting the Love, Carol Foundation. Started by Kall and her sisters Laura and Jennifer, Love, Carol fundraises for families touched by breast cancer.

Previously this event has drawn in the likes of Tom Perrotta, J. Courtney Sullivan, and Ann Hood. This year's writers continue the tradition of high-profile writers sharing their stories with guests (and signing books, of course!). The authors are:

Jane Green (Family Pictures)

Green is the author of 14 New York Times bestselling novels, dealing with real women and all the things life throws at them, with her trademark wisdom, wit and warmth.

A former feature writer for the Daily Express in the UK, Green took a leap in faith when she left, in 1996, to freelance and work on a novel. Seven months later, there was a bidding war for her first book, Straight Talking, the saga of a single career girl looking for the right man. The novel was an immediate top-ten bestseller in England, and Green was an overnight success.

Author of the acclaimed The Baker's Daughter, Sarah McCoy joins fellow writers in Rhode Island.

Now in her forties, Green has graduated to more complex, character-driven novels that explore the concerns of real women's lives, from marriage (The Other Woman) to motherhood (Another Piece of My Heart) to divorce, stepchildren, affairs, and most recently, midlife crises (Family Pictures).

Sarah McCoy (The Baker's Daughter)

McCoy is author of the international bestseller and 2012 Goodreads Choice Award Best Historical Fiction nominee The Baker’s Daughter. Her first novel is The Time It Snowed in Puerto Rico. She has taught English writing at Old Dominion University and at the University of Texas at El Paso. The daughter of an Army officer, her family was stationed in Germany during her childhood. She calls Virginia home but presently lives with her husband, an Army physician, and dog, Gilbert, in El Paso, Texas. She is currently working on her third novel for Crown/Random House.
