Adam Ezra at Narrows

The Adam Ezra Band is a popular roots rock band from Boston known for great songwriting, high energy shows, and their novelty tune “The Devil Came up to Boston” (NSFW). Guitarist and social activist Ezra recently released a live album of mainly new tunes, performed solo and acoustic. He’ll be with the full group on Saturday night at the Narrows Center for the Arts in Fall River. Show is at 8PM, tickets are $20 in advance, $22 day of show.

Sugar Ray at The Knick

Saturday night, catch recently announced RI Music Hall of Fame inductees Sugar Ray and the Bluetones at the Knickerbocker Café in Westerly. Led by Ray Noecia with "Monster" Mike Welch on guitar, the band has been tearing up the blues scene for over 35 years. They've played with top blues artists including Johnny Winter, Duke Robillard and Pinetop Perkins. Check out their latest album Living Tear to Tear, which debuted at #1 on the Living Blues Radio chart. Show starts at 8PM, tickets $15.

Rockabilly at Dusk

Honkey-Tonk heaven descends on Dusk in Providence this Saturday night. Four RI area bands will be playing everything from rock to rockabilly. Bands include Rumble Party, The Red Pennys, Brother Zack and Sister Helen and Dan White. Show is at 9PM, cover is $7. Put on your dancing shoes and prepare to party.

Atwater-Donnelly Trio

Aubrey Atwater and Ellwood Donnelly are nationally recognized Celtic/Americana musicians who have played major festivals and small coffeehouses all over the world. They play a variety of acoustic instruments including guitar, mountain dulcimer, Irish tin whistle, harmonica, old-time banjo, bones, limberjacks and more. The RI natives are joined by Kathy Clasper-Torch on fiddle and more at Saturday night’s show at the Blackstone River Theatre in Cumberland. Tickets are for the 8:00 show are $15.

John Allmark Band

The John Allmark Jazz Orchestra is part of a great tradition in Rhode Island jazz. After taking over for the Duke Belaire Big Band 25 years ago at Bovi’s in East Providence, the big band has played a regular Monday night gig almost every week since. After Bovi’s closed, the ensemble moved to The Met in January. The band includes a rotating cast of talented players from Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts. For the near future, The Met is the place to be Monday nights, If you want to see world class Music begins at 9PM. Admission $8 at the door.

Station Fire Anniversary

Saturday is the 13th anniversary of The Station nightclub fire, which occurred on the night of February 20, 2003 in West Warwick. On this solemn occasion, our thoughts are with the victims, their families and friends. The fundraising drive to build a permanent memorial is almost complete, and the memorial is expected to be finished in October. For more details, or to donate to the memorial fund, click here.
