A new restaurant and bar concept is opening in Providence — Strive Kitchen and Bar.

Located on Admiral Street close to Providence College — where “Clubbies” and “Rec Room” used to be — “SKB” is being launched by Joseph Colaluca, John Long, and Kenneth McCarthy.

“Over four years, we have tirelessly worked to ensure we created an environment fit for Providence’s most discerning patrons,” they write on the website. “Our ethos is rooted in fostering community through an exceptional culinary experience. Our team brings an atmosphere rich with vibrance, dedication, and detail to life.”

According to the website, the menu includes creative twists on bar fare with arancini mozzarella sticks to a “bag” of fries, to a homemade butternut waffle with hot honey and walnut vinaigrette — topped by burrata.

Main dishes are “elevated and reimagined,” says the restaurant, featuring an “angus rodeo burger” and a Sicilian style pepperoni pizza with ricotta, basil, San Marzano tomatoes — and hot honey and garlic oil.

The multi-level establishment also contains a “speakeasy” bar space located in the basement.
