It's the bash before the banquet, and we've rounded up 10 great spots statewide for your preprandial partying. This is a night that lots of bands are featured, so do a little extra dancing to make room for the feast that is to come.

Artini's, Providence

With a fresh new look, this is a great, cozy spot for pre-turkey-day-date-night with DJ Jeer spinning Top 40 from 9pm-2am. With a great selection of martinis all just $6, you might want to stay right through 'til closing. 292 Atwells Ave, 274-8464.

Blush Wine Bar, Providence

This is a great place to start your evening. One of Federal Hill's newest bars features the largest wine selection in the state - more than 200 wines by the glass - plus fun and unique cocktails. The Bradford, Providence

For a cozy time-out, check out one of the Hill's hidden gems. And for a perfect Thanksgiving cocktail, go for the Macintosh Manhattan, featuring Makers Mark Bourbon, Amaretto, and Apple Schnapps. 142 Atwells Ave, 421-0525.

Cleats Sports Club, Westerly

For the sporty... this fun hangout attached to Alley Katz Entertainment Center goes all out on Thanksgiving Eve with turkey promos, drink specials, and live rock and roll by Never Enuff, one of the state's jumpingest rock and dance cover bands. 116 Granite St, 596-4107.

Faial Restaurant & Lounge, Smithfield

This is one great deal from this local favorite that features American and Portuguese cuisines. Tonight, get Thanksgiving Eve pitchers of margaritas, sangria, and martinis half-price, meaning just $12.50. Plus, chicken wings for 25 cents with no limit.  970 Douglas Pike, 231-1100.

Harbourside, East Greenwich

Ladder 133 Bar & Grill, Providence

This Smith Hill favorite knows how to throw a party, and they've got live music tonight featuring The Decades (formerly Cuzin Eddy), plus a special guest DJ in between sets! It's gonna be packed, so get there early. The band goes on at 9, and the party rolls 'til 2am. 133 Douglas Ave, 272-RIBS.

The Met Cafe, Pawtucket

The rocking Connecticut-based bar Max Creek is at the center of this revived club's Thanksgiving Eve Party. For a big music focus, you can't do better than this. Doors open at 8pm, music kicks off at 9. Hope Artiste Village, 1005 Main St, 729-1005.

State Ultra Lounge, Providence

Before you go all-American on the holiday, indulge a little Euro flair at the excellent bar tucked just off North Main Street. The bartenders there make great cocktails, and a Pineapple Basil Martini is a perfect late night treat. 1 Throop Alley, 854-6464.

The Wild Colonial, Providence
