Food truck Masa Taqueria is closing.
“What began as a humble endeavor from my apartment during the tumultuous times of the COVID-19 pandemic blossomed into a full-fledged business that we poured our hearts into,” announced the business Monday morning.
The popular food truck was a Federal Hill regular, setting up shop outside Rock & Rye on Atwells Avenue.

In their announcement, they said that this past year had been a particularly difficult one.
“Despite our collective efforts, the year 2023 proved to be our most challenging yet. The relentless breakdowns of our food truck, coupled with adverse weather conditions leading to even cancellations, stretched our resources and tested our resolve,” they stated.
In 2021, Masa Taqueria took to social media to give an “economics lesson” on costs to customers complaining about good prices.
The owners of a food truck in Rhode Island are explaining how much more food and overhead costs are right now — and why that translates into higher prices, for those who are complaining.
