Social Enterprise Greenhouse Is Accepting Applications from Entrepreneurs for Fall 2021 Programming
Social Enterprise Greenhouse (SEG) is now accepting applications for its Fall 2021 programming, consisting of the Ideator, Incubator, and Accelerator programs.
SEC seeks entrepreneurs who are "looking to develop a business idea, learn the basics of launching a business or scale their venture’s positive social impact and profitability are encouraged to apply. The programs can be completed entirely online using the Zoom virtual platform but there will also be in-person programming opportunities."
More than 200 social ventures have graduated from SEG’s Accelerator programs since 2010, including Capital Good Fund, Solar Sister, GoPeer, and What Cheer Flower Farm. Motivated and coachable social entrepreneurs and small business owners from Rhode Island and beyond are encouraged to apply. Applications are due by August 12, 2021.

The SEG Ideator is an eight-week program created specifically for people who are thinking about starting a business or organization that could make a difference in their community. The goal of the program is to help individuals decide if entrepreneurship is a path that fits well with their lifestyle and goals and to identify ideas that are worth an investment of time, money, and energy. Anyone who has an idea for a new product or service that has not been vetted or tested is encouraged to apply. Applications are due by August 13, 2021. The SEG Incubator is a ten-week business education program that covers social entrepreneurship, business model planning, finances, and other important topics for startup organizations. More than 150 startups representing a wide variety of industries have graduated from the program since it began in 2017. SEG’s Incubator program is designed for anyone who has a product or service they are looking to commit to, formalize, and launch as a business or nonprofit that will create positive social impact while being financially sustainable. The Impact Accelerator is SEG’s signature venture development program. It features a 12-week blended learning experience that provides social entrepreneurs with the tools, networks, and resources to further validate their venture, understand their customer, and formalize growth strategies from fundraising to social impact measurement. The purpose of the Impact Accelerator is to stimulate innovation and to help create more successful, sustainable “do well, do good” businesses, leading to healthier and more prosperous communities for all.
