Residential Properties Ltd. announces that Sales Associate Matt Costa has joined the local real estate experts at our East Greenwich office. He is a Realtor who brings over a decade of extensive sales experience to the table.

Tell us about your professional experience up to now.
Before real estate, I spent years in the corporate world managing facility maintenance contracts and high-stakes retail accounts. That decade of experience taught me how to negotiate, how to spot the fine print, and most importantly how to advocate for a diverse array of clients. I am a member of the Greater Providence Board of Realtors Community Task Force and am grateful to be in such a wonderful career with other talented professionals.
What do you love about Rhode Island and New England?
I am originally from Bristol, RI, where I was raised with a strong work ethic and a commitment to integrity. My family and I have lived in East Greenwich for the past 16 years. What I love about these two towns and about Rhode Island in general is the ability to have real balance. You can enjoy the energy of the town center, savor the beauty of the waterfront, and are always just a few minutes away from a world-class meal or a hidden coastal trail. It’s a place where historic charm meets a modern, coastal lifestyle.
What made you want to join Residential Properties?
I chose Residential Properties to be part of a premier local firm that offers industry-leading tools and leadership. I value our proximity to Providence and Newport, as well as the opportunity to work with diverse properties. I am particularly impressed by the leadership team's dedication to agent success and aspire to join that team in the future.
What do you enjoy outside of work?
My wife, daughter, and I enjoy traveling, gardening, and cooking, with a special focus on my Portuguese heritage. We spend much of our free time with our dogs, Maisy and Willow, often taking them on RV trips. I am also an avid golfer, a member of the Greenwich Pool Club, and a regular parishioner at Our Lady of Mercy Church. I am involved with my daughter’s softball teams as well. My wife is an employee of the Providence VA, so I also enjoy supporting her events in honor of our veterans.
What are you most looking forward to now that you’re with RPL?
I am excited to build my business in my hometown with such a respected organization. My goal is to be recognized as an honest, empathetic professional who builds lasting relationships. Helping clients turn the page to the next chapter of their story by achieving their real estate goals is incredibly rewarding to me."
