Coming Friday: Advisor’s Letter Raises Questions About Pawtucket Stadium - Never Made Public Before
Thursday, December 28, 2023
GoLocal has secured a copy of a letter written by the City of Pawtucket’s then-municipal financial advisor raising concerns about the stadium’s financing, costs, and the developer’s track record.
The city is in the midst of issuing more than $46 million of bonds to finance a minor league soccer stadium — Tidewater Landing — which is being developed by California-based Brett Johnson.
The City of Pawtucket delayed the release of this letter for nearly 50 days.
