Ava Anderson Non-Toxic, a local cosmetics company started by Barrington teen Ava Anderson, is launching a new haircare line today, made without the harmful chemicals found in many products.

In addition to a stellar skincare line filled with natural ingredients, rating zero on the Cosmetics Database, a shampoo and conditioner ($17.95 each) have been added to the line. Both are perfect for the entire family including children and leave hair soft, silky and smooth. The shampoo cleanses hair perfectly with organic aloe vera extract, peppermint extract and mojave yucca extract. Follow with conditioner which makes even the most problem-prone hair easy to comb through. Ingredients like lemon balm, sweet orange essential oil and pomegranate essential oil refresh the senses and enliven the hair.

I love Ava's products and had high expectations for this new haircare line. I was not disappointed. The shampoo lathers easily and makes my scalp and hair feel truly clean with no residue. The conditioner left my hair super easy to comb through while wet and made it soft and shiny, without weighing it down.
