Our poor lips get the brunt of the bad weathe and it can lead to chapping, peeling and overall unpleasantness. Aside from slathering Vaseline on your lips endlessly, we found some surefire ways to keep your lips fresh, moist and oh so kissable. A cult favorite is Smith’s Rosebud Salve ($6, Facing Thayer) which hydrates with essential oils. You can even use it on elbows or knees! Also try childhood favorite Lip Smackers and their newest collection of Natural Lip Balms ($4, drug stores) that infuse te lips with fruit essences, olive oil, aloe and vitamin E.

Hair gets staticky from hats, scarves, coats, sweaters or just the change from cold to hot in a matter of minutes. To avoid the cling, make sure you hair is well conditioned. Dry, cold air saps hair of moisture which can lead to static. Using a deep conditioning treatment like Oribe Signature Moisture Masque ($59, La La Luxe Salon) will permeate even the driest strands for irresistible soft hair. To stop cling in its tracks, always keep a dryer sheet with you like Seventh Generation Dryer Sheets ($5, Target). Simply run the sheet over your hair and voila!

You can just feel it, can’t you? The cold stealing the moisture from your hands, the chapping and cracking is just too much! You can rescue your hands (and nails and cuticles) this winter and make them look alive, plump and younger simply by drenching them in moisture. Slather on True Blue Spa Glove Me Tender Restorative Hand Treatment with Shea Butter SPF 15 ($13, Bath and Body works) to soothe, heal and protect winter-ravaged hands. Or try an overnight treatment like Bliss Make Over Your Mani ($54, Sephora) which includes gel-lined gloves and super duper hand cream to keep your hands ultra soft.

Flyaway

It may sound odd to worry about makeup melting in the winter, but heating systems in various places can make you start to sweat and your makeup can go right along with it! To keep makeup where it belongs, try using a mineral makeup like Ava Anderson Non-Toxic Mineral Makeup ($28) which adhere to skin, buffs away pores and leaves you looking flawless. Teach eye makeup to stay in place with Urban Decay’s Dew Me Moisturizing Makeup Setting Spray ($29, Ulta). This light mist sets makeup in place while providing your skin with an extra boost of moisture.

Flaky

Itchy. Tight. Ashy. Not the best way to describe your skin but it is what winter does! Fight back by pumping your skin full of moisture, from the inside out. First of all, drink water! Eight glasses or 64 ounces a day replenishes your body’s water supply and rejuvenates the skin. In the shower, lather up with a moisturizing wash like Dove Nourishing Deep Moisture Body Wash ($6, drug stores) and follow with a heavy duty yet light feeling moisturizer like Shikai Borage Dry Skin Therapy ($15, Whole Foods).
