URI Loses Again

Saturday, October 20, 2012

With four games remaining in the 2012 season, the prospect of a winless season seems to be a distinct possibility for the URI football team.

Saturday, the Rams lost at Delaware 47-24.

Rhody actually jumped out to a 7-0 lead on the game's opening drive when Bob Bentsen (167 yards passing, 2 TD's) hit Robbie Jackson from 6 yards out.  But that lead was short-lived as the Blue Hens scored the next 33 points to seize control of the game.

Rhode Island hosts UNH next Saturday.  That will be followed by road games at Richmond and Towson before the season-finale at home against Maine.

Football at URI should be dropped . How many full scholarships could be given to needy applicants . Nobody cares about URI football
