Former Jets Star Scott Calls Staying in Providence "Worst Experience Ever"

Bart Scott with the Jets in 2011.
Former New York Jets linebacker Bart Scott ripped Providence Patriots fans during his radio show on WFAN in New York this week, claiming that staying in Providence is the “worst experience ever.”

New England’s Sunday opponent, the Los Angeles Chargers, arrived at Rhode Island’s TF Green Airport late Friday night for the AFC Divisional round game.

“You stay in Providence and its the worst experience ever. These people are the worst. They're not bad fans, they're bad people. Like if I saw some people in Providence, I would want to punch them in the face. I don’t understand, it’s fine and dandy to be a fan, but when you start pulling my fire alarm at three o’clock in the morning, you are outside on the opposing building yelling all night with a megaphone, it’s like come on man,” Scott said.

Scott is currently a co-host on WFAN’s midday show “Carlin, Maggie, and Bart.”

Bart played with the Jets from 2009 to 2012 and helped them beat New England in the 2011 playoffs.

The Patriots will look to avoid that same fate when they host LA on Sunday at 1 p.m. at Gillette Stadium.
