“Rhode Island families are struggling under the dismal economic conditions created by career politicians like Senator Whitehouse and Vice President Biden,” said John Loughlin, Executive Director of the Hinckley campaign. “With ticket prices for their fundraiser ranging up to $5,000, it’s hard for most of us to be there in person. As a public service, the Hinckley campaign has put together this short video of Whitehouse and Biden’s ‘greatest hits’. Now, all Rhode Islanders can see their elected officials in action, with or without paying the price of admission.”

Biden drew press attention earlier this week when his office released a travel itinerary listing “Providence, Road Island” as a destination. The video pokes fun at this episode among others, such as Biden’s 2006 claim that “you cannot go to a 7-eleven or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent.” The video closes with the question, “Are you better off than you were $8 trillion ago?” - the amount that will have been added to the national debt during Sheldon Whitehouse’s term in the Senate.

“The question is a serious one,” explained Loughlin. “These career politicians have failed to carry out the most basic functions of competent government. Anyone who has seen the roads in Rhode Island knows this - no pun intended. Meanwhile, Whitehouse and Biden fought for huge bailouts for their cronies on Wall Street. Their economic plan was to spend trillions of dollars and hope for the best. Well, we’ve tried it their way, and it doesn’t work.”

“Watch for more fun and lighthearted videos highlighting Senator Whitehouse’s record as the campaign rolls on,” concluded Loughlin.
