UPDATED: Foxwoods Lockdown Lifted After Officer Shoots Armed Man in Casino

Update 4 p.m.  The lockdown at Foxwoods Resort Casino has been lifted after a tribal officer shot and killed an armed casiino patron during a confrontation. 

"Foxwoods officer-involved shooting, suspect deceased, no other injuries. Avoid Fox Tower garage as CSP detectives continue investigating," Connecticut State Police said on twitter.

Foxwoods Resort Casino is on lockdown while CT State police investigate an officer involved in a shooting

"Connecticut State Police investigating officer involved shooting at Foxwoods Casino. There is no active shooter or public threat, this is not an active situation," said the Connecticut State Police on Twitter. 

Outlets in the casino are closed, shops are closed as well as restaurants.
