Councilman Calls for Central Falls Mayor to Resign

Monday, July 19, 2010

A Central Falls city councilman is calling on Mayor Charles Moreau to resign after the state-appointed receiver for the financially beleaguered city stripped the mayor of his executive powers.

“I am calling on the Mayor to step down immediately for the sake of Central Falls,” city councilman James Diossa said today. “Mayor Moreau has already done enough for our city. Now he needs to do what is best for the people of Central Falls: step aside and let the recovery begin.”
