We had just been released to our families after graduation from Infantry One Station Unit Training (OSUT), but then they dropped the company to do pushups as a last smoking. Best pushups I ever did.
Joshua Boccanfuso grew up in Warwick and Cranston, went to Cranston West HS and the culinary program at the Cranston Area Career and Technical Center. He enrolled in the Army in October of 2008. Before his July leave, he was stationed at combat outpost Zerok in Afghanistan, and endured regular mortar attacks. He returned to Zerok in August. In special correspondence with GoLocalProv's Tracey Minkin, he shares his images and experiences with GoLocalProv readers. His next photo will appear on Monday.
