LIVE: Capital Good Fund's Posner on Assisting with DACA Renewals

Andy Posner
Following the announcement by President Donald Trump that no new applications will be accepted for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program instituted by President Barack Obama, the Capital Good Fund announced on Tuesday on GoLocal LIVE that they would be assisting with loans for individuals to process the renewals, which cost $495 before any lawyer and consultant fees.

"Our goal is to finance at least 100 DACA loans by October 5th," said CGF's Andy Posner. "These loans take away the fear of deportation for at least two years, affording so-called "Dreamers"—young people who only know America as their home—the opportunity to work, go to school, etc. Focusing on DACA for the next few weeks will require a lot of hard work, but it is without a doubt worth it."
