Innovator In Public Health Research, Brown’s Professor Braun on BPA Exposure

Joseph Braun
Joseph Braun, Ph.D., an assistant professor of Public Health and Epidemiology at Brown University says it’s an honor to be named one of 20 Pioneers Under 40 in Environmental Public Health by the Collaborative on Health and the Environment (CHE) for exceptional research, an innovator, and moving the field forward.

While he has done ample research on health consequences of early life environmental chemical exposures in pregnant women, infants, and children, Braun says he most proud of the work involving  BPA and perfluoroalkyl substances.

As part of his recognition by CHE, Braun will be giving a webinar on February 6, discussing how some early environmental chemical exposures could influence the risk of obesity.
