Message: From GoLocalProv by Michael Gravison, URI Graduate Student in Communication Studies: When people think of biotechnology they tend to think of genetics, DNA, and the medical field. Although these are a large and important part of the biotechnology industry, there is a lot more to it than that. Biotechnology has been around for over 6,000 years shaping the way humans have lived, and it will continue to grow for years. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, some careers in biotechnology are expected to grow 19 percent from 2012-2022, faster than the occupational average. http://www.golocalprov.comhttp://beta.golocalprov.com/fuel-feed-and-heal-the-world-through-biotechnology
