Leading business publication Inc. Magazine has ranked Designer Carolyn Rafaelian’s Alex and Ani, Inc. number 470 on its annual Inc. 500 list, jumping nearly 800 spots since last year’s ranking of 1,247 on the Inc. 5000.  This exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies recognizes Alex and Ani as the only Rhode Island based company to make the 500 list – a prestigious acknowledgment among the nation’s primary independent-minded entrepreneurs.

Ranking number 16 in the retail sector, up from number 65 in 2010, Alex and Ani’s business-to-business, e-commerce, international and authorized retail partner sales have also increased considerably in the last year.

“Alex and Ani, a strictly ‘Made in America’ retailer, is dedicated to stimulating and restoring American manufacturing by making all products in the Greater Providence area”, says Giovanni Feroce, Alex and Ani CEO. “We are fortunate and wise enough to also have our own factory here in the United States.”

Path of continuous growth

The continuous growth of Alex and Ani, both financially and its physical expansion, brings a renewed optimism to an otherwise uncertain local and national economy.  Spreading this type of ‘Positive Energy’ is an effort Alex and Ani has become synonymous with while offering an alluring line of positive energy infused products designed by Carolyn Rafaelian and her talented team. Alex and Ani is currently available at corporate retail locations, online at, and at many fine retailers across the country and now internationally.

Inc. Magazine, the premier print publication for entrepreneurs and business owners for more than 30 years, introduced Inc. 500 to celebrate the fastest growing privately held companies in the United States and recognize their accomplishments and advancements.

The September issue of Inc. Magazine including Inc. 500 | 5000 is currently on stands.  For more information, please visit to get a full list of this year’s deserving companies.
