A woman in Fishville, Louisiana took to Facebook to post pictures of what she says are two dogs she found on the roadside — with Providence, Rhode Island tags.

Sierra Hanson posted the photos and information to the Facebook group “Rhode Island Lost Pet Locator” on Sunday.

“Does anyone recognize these babies? Dumped on Lofton Road, I almost hit them on the way to church. Only one has a collar on and is friendly the other doesn’t want us to touch it but will take food from us,” wrote Hanson.

“I tried calling the number but it didn’t work,” said Hanson. “Address on collar is 135 Sorrento Street Providence RI 02909.”

Hanson said she has the dogs with her at this time.

“I have the dogs currently, I foster for Heart of Louisiana Humane Society,” Hanson told GoLocal. “They’re very sweet babies. One's name is “Roccy” the other did not have a collar on."

"They are both doing well. They are both actually fairly healthy also, not starving. Someone had them," said Hanson. "The only thing bothering us is the one that had a collar on, it was so tight I could barely get it off. My area in Louisiana is well known for stealing and flipping animals. My road in particular is a dump site for unwanted/stolen animals."
