NEW: Channel 6 Anchor Gets Gig Out West

Former Channel 6 main anchor Allison Alexander has landed a new job.
Alexander is now an anchor for KVOA-TV in Tucson, Arizona which is an NBC affiliate. You may remember Alexander from her days at WLNE alongside current main anchor John DeLuca. Alexander was let go from the station in May 2011 following an ownership change at Channel 6.
According to tvspy.com, Alexander will be doing the station’s noon and 4pm newscast. This is familiar terrority to Alexander who worked in Tucson at an ABC station from 2002 to 2004. Most recently, she had been doing some reporter and fill in anchor work at a station in Phoenix.
Alexander, who is replacing a woman anchor who resigned following an arrest for – shoplifting – starts her new job on March 19th.
