A Peek At The Week Ahead

In fact, with a couple of storm systems getting into the mix, some snow accumulation is not out of the question, particularly away from the Bay and coastline communities. The first system will move in on Monday and with enough cold air in place most of us should see some wet snow at the beginning. But this storm center will track through Northern New England eventually putting us on the so-called “warmer” side of the storm. While there may be a thin slushy accumulation at inland high spots, most of the precipitation should fall as rain from Monday afternoon into Monday night. Partial clearing and chilly weather is due for Tuesday.
The second storm system due to arrive on Wednesday has a much more wintry look to it. That storm center should track just south of our coastline and the atmosphere should be cold enough so that much of this storm could bring accumulating snow over much of the area. It’s far too early to be very detailed but let’s just say that some, if not most of us should not put away the shovels and plows just yet. Let’s hope that track forecast changes over the next few days.

The Ghiorse Factor starts out at a 3 on Monday, gets back to 7 on Tuesday and dips to a 2 during Wednesday afternoon. It may struggle back to a 4 or 5 Thursday and because of the unseasonable cold won’t get much above a 6 through the weekend.
Instead of heading steadily into spring, it looks like Mother Nature has found reverse gear.
