A Peek At The Week Ahead

Storms continue to roll through New England on a regular basis, but for the past few weeks we’ve seen a lot of rain and very little snow. Our last substantial snowfall was over a month ago. Storms will continue to affect us this week and, at least right now, it looks like we will continue to see primarily rain and not the frozen stuff.

The wet weather that moved in last night will leave rather quickly today with some sun expected this afternoon. However, temperature should begin to dip later today and tonight. That should be followed by a couple of seasonably cool days with lots of sunshine before the next storm system approaches on Thursday. A rainy Friday is in store and the weekend is looking a bit uncertain as the rain may linger off and on into Saturday and then move out of the area by Sunday. But at this point the timing on all of that is pretty much up in the air. Temperatures should top out in the low to mid 40s Tuesday through Thursday, may reach into the 50s on Friday and back to the 40s for daily highs over the weekend.

The Ghiorse Factor will rise to a 7 this afternoon and be in the 7-8 range Tuesday and Wednesday. It will drop to a 3 by late Thursday into Friday, kick up to a 5 on Saturday and be back in the 7 range for Sunday.
