A Peek At The Week Ahead

A Peek At The Week Ahead

It’s hard to say if last week’s soupy tropical weather was the last gasp of summer (I still feel we have a shot a some Indian Summer before winter sets in) but this week our weather should get more into the fall mode. In fact right now it’s looking like the early part of the week will feature wet, damp, raw, chilly conditions while the tail end of the week will feature sunshine and slightly more moderate temperature readings.

A sluggish storm system will meander of the Mid-Atlantic coast for the next few days and by late Thursday will head north of our area allowing high pressure and sunshine to return for Friday and the weekend. From now through Wednesday I’m looking for periods of rain and drizzle along with a raw northeast wind. Temperatures should float in the 50s and low 60s. By Thursday there’s some chance of improvement but I can’t rule out a few lingering showers. Friday, Saturday and most Sunday should bask in sunshine with temperatures in the 60s. Some clouds will return before Sunday is over but at this point showers are not expected. So overall most of the Columbus Day weekend is looking good but with perhaps more showers appearing by Monday, Columbus Day itself.
