NEW: Big East Presidents Approve UConn's Return
Big East presidents formally voted to bring the Huskies back to the Big East for the 2020-21 season during a conference call on Monday, according to CBS Sports’ Matt Norlander.
GoLocalProv reported the potential for UConn's return and the renewal of the Ed Cooley, Dan Hurley rivalry on Saturday.

CBS adds that the Big East is planning a formal press conference to announce UConn’s return on Thursday at Madison Square Garden in New York.
UConn and the Big East
UConn was an original member of the Big East which began in 1979.
UConn has won four National Championships — three as a member of the conference.
The Huskies moved to the American Athletic Conference (AAC) during realignment in 2013.
The Big East retained original members Georgetown, Providence, Seton Hall, and St. John's, as well as longtime member Villanova.
DePaul and Marquette also remained in the Big East, and the league added Butler, Creighton, and Xavier.
Since the move to the AAC, the UConn men’s basketball team has been to only one NCAA Tournament, winning the National Championship that season.
According to CBS, it is unclear what will happen to the football program, as the Big East does not sponsor football.
