"A great win for us and it says a lot about our team and its resiliency to be able to come back in this game. Give Yale a lot of credit. They kept coming back at us, but give our guys a little more credit for finishing the game the way we did,” said Brown head coach Mike Martin after the game.

The win improves Brown to 8-7 overall and 1-1 in the Ivy League. Yale drops to 8-10 overall and 1-1 in the Ivy League.

Brown Holds Off Yale

With the game tied at 72, Brown’s Zach Hunker got a steal and found Obi Okolie for a three with one minute left to give the Bears a 75-72 lead.

However, Yale answered with a three of their own to tie the game at 75 with 51 seconds left.

The game was later tied at 77 with 33 seconds to play before Okolie got to the free throw line and knocked down both shots to give Brown a 79-77 lead with 5.3 seconds left.

Yale was unable to convert on their next possession.

On Brown’s next possession, Choh was fouled and knocked down two free throws for a four-point Brown lead, 81-77.

A half-court three by Yale's Alex Copeland made the final score 81-80.

The Bears were led by Desmond Cambridge who poured in 16 points.
