Brown Falls to Dartmouth 66-63

The Brown Bears dropped their second straight game on Saturday night, falling to Dartmouth 66-63 in New Hampshire.

The loss drops Brown to 11-12 overall and 4-6 in the Ivy League. They are in a three-way tie for fourth place in the Ivy League Standings.

Dartmouth improves to 6-17 overall and 2-8 in the Ivy League.

Brown Falls Short

With the game tied at 56, Dartmouth’s Chris Knight connected on back-to-back baskets to give the Big Green a 60-56 lead with 2:20 left to go.

The Bears cut it to one, 62-61, after Brandon Anderson knocked down a three with 1:18 to play.

Dartmouth would extend their lead to 64-61 on a layup from Miles Wright with 1:01 to play, before the Bears would again pull within one on two free throws from Zach Hunsaker.

After Dartmouth missed a shot, the Bears had two chances to win the game in the final seconds.

Hunsaker missed a three with five seconds left and Desmond Cambridge grabbed the rebound, but could not get a jump shot to go with a second to play.

Knight knocked down two free throws for the Big Green to seal the win.

The Bears were led by Cambridge who had 13 points on 4 of 17 shooting from the field.

Brown returns to action on Friday, February 23 when they visit Columbia.

Game time is set for 7 p.m.
