Saturday, February 22, 2020
Led by 24 points from Luwane Pipkins, the Providence College Friars men’s basketball team beat the #19 Marquette Golden Eagles 84-72 on Saturday afternoon at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center.
Providence has won three straight games overall and four straight over nationally-ranked opponents.
Since Pipkins came to Providence after a stellar career at UMass, Coach Ed Cooley has been waiting for a bust-out game. There have been some solid performances, but nothing like today's outstanding performance by Pipkins -- scoring and dishing.
