Channel 12 Scores One Of Highest Ratings In The Country

It was all about Tom Brady this weekend as the Pats slammed the Denver Broncos.
But, here in Providence, Channel 12 which aired the game in prime-time Saturday saw incredible ratings from the game. In fact, CBS has gone out of it’s way to spotlight WPRI as one of the top highest rated stations in the country.
CBS says “The NFL on CBS” game for the Pats win was the highest rated prime-time NFL Divisional Playoff game in 11-years. Nationally, the game scored a rating of 20.6 and captured a 34-percent share. In simplest terms, that means that 34% of the people watching TV all across America during the time frame of the game were watching Brady and team do their thing.
The network says viewing for the game peaked at about 9:30pm Saturday night.
For Channel 12, the audience share was enormous.

1) WBZ Boston – 46.0/68
2) KCNC Denver – 43.5/70
3) WPRI Providence -- 39.4/58
4) WTEV Jacksonville -- 26.3/39
