William F. Lindberg, of Warwick, Dies at 73
William was born in Providence a son of the late Raymond and Rita I. (Champagne) Lindberg.
He was a Sales Representative and photographer for the Auto Trader, for many years before retiring. Mr. Lindberg was a former member of the RI National Guard.
He was a longtime member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish, a member of A.O.H., a President and coach of the Apponaug Girls Softball League.
William also enjoyed playing “Santa” at the Warwick Mall and also for many private events.
Mr. Lindberg was the father of Britta Dawn Korkuc and her husband Andrew of Warwick. He was the brother of Wayne R. Lindberg of West Warwick. He was the grandfather of Levi and Celia Korkuc.
William was the father of the late Erica Page Lindberg and the brother of the late Donna C. Strickland.
His funeral will be held Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at 8:45 am from the Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick, RI, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling hours are Tuesday from 5-7 pm.
