US Air Force Vet, Louis Roger Breault, of Pawtucket, Passes at 86
Tuesday, April 20, 2021
Louis Breault, 86, of Pawtucket, passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021, at Hope Hospice and Palliative Care in Providence. He was the husband of the late Kathryn (O’Brien) Breault.
Born in Pawtucket he was the son of the late Calixte and Germaine (Dufour) Breault. He was a lifelong resident of Pawtucket. He graduated from St. Raphael Academy.
He served his country honorably and faithfully as a member of the United States Air Force.
Mr. Breault was employed as an engineer at the Foxboro Company for 32 years and later at AC Tech until his retirement.
Lou enjoyed camping for many years at Keoka Beach and Bear Mountain in Maine and Fishermen’s Memorial Campground in Narragansett. Lou was an avid hockey player and was a member of the Pawtucket Old Timers league for many years.
Perhaps his greatest passion however was car racing. He was a devoted NASCAR fan. He himself raced cars. Who will ever forget the yellow number 23 car? Lou was also the “crew chief” for his younger brother Ed’s racing team. He and Ed traveled for years at many surrounding racetracks in New England and beyond.
Those who knew Lou remember his ability to fix just about anything except supper. He was a quiet man with a dry sense of humor who will forever be missed.
He leaves his son, Michael D. Breault of Pawtucket, his daughter Michelle Campbell of West Hartford, CT; his two sisters, Doris Bernier of Lincoln and Marie Amaral of Florida; his brother Edward Breault of Lincoln; his three grandsons, David Breault, Jacob Campbell, and Joshua Campbell; as well as several nieces and nephews. He also leaves his beloved niece Cynthia Baxter and her husband Ted of Cumberland. He was the brother of the late George Breault.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Lou's Life Celebration to be held with Visiting Hours on Friday, April 23, 2021, from 5 to 8 pm and continue on Saturday, April 24, 2021, at 9 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 am in the St. Mary Church, Pine Street, Pawtucket.
Burial will take place in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer's Association, RI Chapter, 245 Waterman St #306, Providence, RI 02906.
