Theodore H. Lemoi, Sr. of Pawtucket Dies at 85

Theodore H. Lemoi, Sr., 85, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, June 19, 2022. He was the beloved husband of the late Eleanor A. (Jeannotte) Lemoi. Eleanor passed away in September of 2021. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Ernest H., Sr. and Yvonne (Larocque) Lemoi.

Ted worked for many years in the sanitation department for the City of Pawtucket until his retirement. He and his late wife were longtime members of the Swinging Squares, square dancing group, and he also enjoyed candlepin bowling and playing cards, particularly, Hi-Lo-Jack at the East Providence Senior’s Center.

Ted leaves three children, Theodore H. Lemoi, Jr. and his partner, Jessica Matts, Susanne DeRouin and her husband, Robert all in Connecticut, and Carolyn Calverley of Pawtucket; eight grandchildren, Benjamin, Alicia, Megan, Amy, Sara, Holly, Erin, and Robert, and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Ernest H. Lemoi, Jr., and the brother-in-law of the late Eileen Lemoi.

VISITATION will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by Services at 11:30 a.m. in Notre Dame Cemetery Chapel, 359 Daggett Ave., Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to the Divine Intervention Animal Rescue, 172 Liberty St., Pawtucket, RI 02861 would be appreciated.
