Steven J. DeCesare, Jr. and Steve DeCesare Die
Steve DeCesare was a marine mechanic for close to 30 years. Everyone always described him as the sweetest, nicest man and he really was. He was a great brother and friend, a wonderful grandpa and the most incredible dad. We were truly blessed to call him ours. Steve is survived by his daughter, Laurie DeCesare; his granddaughter London Olivia DeCesare "Olive "; his sister Carol Dail and brother-in-law Bob Dail; his brother Frank DeCesare; and nephews Rob and Kevin Dail, and Pat and Nick DiRocco.
If I could describe my brother in one word it would be passionate. Stevie was so talented and could do anything he put his mind to and do it flawlessly. He was a sound engineer for many years. He could pick up and play any instrument you could imagine. He played the stand-up Bass and was the youngest person to play with the Warwick Philharmonic Orchestra.
He was an expert at computers, cooking, making sushi, camping/nature, painting, making bonsai trees, fishing and so much more. I bet you could name anything and Stevie was great at it! And, of course, everyone loved his magic tricks. He loved teaching his niece all about science and nature. He was the most loving uncle and amazing role model to my daughter. Stevie was a great friend to all, a wonderful son, a fantastic uncle and such an incredible brother. I am proud to have been able to call him my best friend. Stevie is survived by his mother, Maureen DeCesare; Grandmother, Kathleen Cronin; his sister, Laurie DeCesare and niece London DeCesare, whom he adored. He is also survived by his aforementioned aunt, uncles and cousins.
A visitation for Steve and Stevie will be Sunday, August 14th from 12-2 pm at the Fagan-Quinn Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Rd, North Kingstown RI, with a celebration of life to follow from 2:30-5 pm at PJ's Pub, 135 Boon St, Narragansett.
