Stephen L. Caputo Sr., of Johnston, Passes at 61

Stephen L. Caputo, Sr., 61, of Johnston, passed away Friday, August 6, 2021, at Kent Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Karen (Puopolo) Caputo. Born in Providence, he was the son of Raymond Caputo and the late Marie Ann (Tortolani) Caputo.

Stephen was a brilliant Chef who worked at the finest restaurants in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Stephen’s kindness and generosity knew no bounds. He was a loving and devoted husband with a big heart and quick wit. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Besides his wife and father, he is survived by his sons, Stephen L. Caputo, Jr. and Anthony R. Caputo; a stepson, Richard Hulkow, and a brother, Richard Caputo, and his wife Kerri.

Visiting hours will be Tuesday morning, August 10, 2021, from 9 – 11 am at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Prayer Service at 11 am.

Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
