Sangha “Sean” Daravikchay Passes at 49
Born in Bukorborey Battambang, Cambodia, he resettled in Providence in 1980 as a refugee at a young age.
He was the son of the late Chhay Daravikchay. He is survived by his loving father Theap Daravikchay, the youngest sibling to Viphar “Nom” Kong, Sanam Daravikchay, Sama Daravikchay, his devoted wife Mary Nhem, two sons, Sean Adrien, and Christian Romeo. He was a loving father, husband, uncle, nephew, and cousin. Sean was affectionately known for his immense love for his family, friends, and community.

Sean had a big heart and a warm gentle smile to match. Growing up he was really into his hair and was nicknamed “Pretty Boy Sean.” His charming personality was contagious to everyone he met. A culinary enthusiast, his love and appreciation for food was known to all. He was a family man and truly lived courageously and wholeheartedly.
A Celebration of Sean’s Life will be held on Friday, August 13th, 2021 from 5 pm to 8 pm.
His memorial and burial services will be held on Saturday, August 14th, 2021 beginning with a Buddhist prayer service at 8 am at the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave, Cranston, RI 02910.
