Robert J. Bapties Dies at 74

Robert J. Bapties, 74, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021. He was the husband of the late Maybelle (Reynolds) Bapties. Born in South Kingstown, he was a son of the late William and Irene (Blanchard) Bapties.

Robert worked for the Highway Department and the former Ladd School. He was associated with Looking Upwards. Robert enjoyed bowling and making jokes daily with the people he knew.
He is survived by a sister, Karen Hawkins of Peace Dale, and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late William C. Bapties, Jr.

Calling hours for Robert will be held Tuesday, January 4, 2022, from 3-5 pm in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St. Wakefield.

A funeral home service will follow at 5 pm.

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Special Olympics of Rhode Island, 370 George Washington Highway, Smithfield, RI 02917.
