Navy Veteran, Stanley M. Vacha, of Coventry, Passes at 83

Stanley M. Vacha, 83, of Hopkins Hill Road, Coventry, RI, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at HomeHealth RI, Providence, RI.

Born on June 22, 1938 in Elizabeth, NJ, he was the son of the late Stanley and Emma (Klimo) Vacha.

Stanley was a station agent for United Airlines, Warwick, RI, for thirty-five years before retiring in 2003. He was a US Navy Veteran and was a plank owner of the USS Ranger Aircraft Carrier. He also served on two Westpac deployments while on the USS Ranger.

Stanley is survived by a son; Russell Vacha and a daughter; Patricia “Trinkey” Raposa, four grandchildren; Jonathan ‘the Admiral’ Vacha, Matthew ‘the Captain’ Vacha, Cody ‘the Commander’ Raposa, Jacob ‘the Lieutenant’ Raposa, and a great-granddaughter; Avery ‘the Hottie’ Raposa. He was predeceased by a sister; Kathleen Thomas.
