Navy Veteran, Richard W. Jalbert, of N. Providence, Passes at 95

Richard W. Jalbert, 95, of Providence, passed away Friday, August 13, 20201 at Briarcliffe Manor in Johnston. He was the beloved husband of the late Norma (Varone) Jalbert. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Walter and Irene (Arcan) Jalbert.

He served in WWII in the Navy as a fire control specialist on several submarines. He was a developer, realtor, and appraiser for 55 years. He had a love for racing his Corvettes and won the SCCA New England Championship.

He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Volino, and her husband Michael; two sisters, Carolyn Reid-Sale and Beverly Bartley; a granddaughter, Heather Murphy, and three great-grandchildren, Max LaCombe, Madeline Plante, and Marguerite Plante.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, August 19, 2021, from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St, North Providence.

Burial with Military Honors will take place in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
