Navy Veteran, Joseph A. Pellegrino, of Westerly, Passes at 68

Joseph A. Pellegrino, 68, of Holmes Street, Westerly, passed away at home on Tuesday afternoon, May 25, 2021.

He is survived by his sister, Lorraine A. Cersosimo of Sarasota, FL, and his sister, Christina Pezzello of Westerly.

Mr. Pellegrino was born in Westerly on June 27, 1952, the son of the late Angelo and Clara (Roddenberry) Pellegrino.

He was a member of the United States Navy who served in the Vietnam War and was awarded the Purple Heart.

Joseph was a construction worker who worked for his father at Angelo Pellegrino construction. He was well known for his wood carvings and won many ribbons for his artwork. 

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Mr. & Mrs. Fortier for their support during this trying time.

Funeral services are private and are under the direction of Rushlow-Iacoi Funeral Home & Crematory, 64 Friendship Street, Westerly.
