Navy Veteran, Henry R. St. John, of East Providence, Dies at 75

Henry R. St. John, 75, of East Providence, died Monday, July 26, 2021, at home.

He was the husband of Ruth Ann (Carlson) St. John. Henry was born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Henry J. and Rae B. (Lemoine) St. John.

Mr. St. John was a supervisor, for Wastewater Management, for the City of Attleboro, for over 30 years, before retiring.

He was a United States Navy veteran, having served in Vietnam, and then in the Naval Reserves for over 22 years. He was a member of the Disabled Veterans, he enjoyed fishing, and was an avid reader of War Books. He loved listening to talk radio, and he also enjoyed listening to Oldie’s music. Henry loved to drink Coca- Cola, he attended the Pawtucket Senior Center, for different activities. He always wanted a PT Cruiser, but unfortunately, he was never able to purchase one.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, his son Adam St. John of Lincoln, his daughters Katherine “Katy” St. John of East Providence, and Angelica St. John of East Providence. He also has four stepdaughters. Henry was the grandfather of 18 and the great grandfather of 12.

His funeral service will be held Friday, August 6, 2021, at 11:00 am in the Rebello Funeral Home, 901 Broadway, East Providence.

Burial with Military Honors will follow at 12:30 pm in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter, RI.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Calling hours are Thursday, August 5, 2021, from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
