Maria Valentina (Goncalves) Mendonca, 69 of First Street, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Miriam Hospital.

Born April 29, 1952, in Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel, Azores, she was the wife of Antonio Mendonca.

Mrs. Mendonca was a communicant of Our Lady of the Rosary Church

Besides her husband of forty years, she leaves two sons, Larry Mendonca of Rehoboth, MA, Kevin Mendonca of East Providence, R.I., three sisters, Lilia Mota of Providence, R.I., Anna Carreiro of Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel, Azores, Cisaltina Bettencourt of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, one grandson, Lucas Mendonca

Her Funeral will be celebrated, Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at 8:30 am from the Rebello Funeral Home & Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, R.I., to be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Traverse Street, Providence, R.I.,

Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Wampanoag Trail, Riverside, R.I.,

Calling Hours will be held the morning of the funeral in the Rebello Funeral Home from 8:45 am-9:45 am. Masks are required.
