Maria da Pedra (Furtado) Lima, 76, of Perry Street, passed away on May 30th at RI Hospital.  She was the wife of Jorge Lima.  

Born in Ribeira Seca, Villa Franca do Campo, St. Michael, Azores. She was daughter of the late Joao and Esmaria (Raposa) Furtado. Maria is survived by her husband Jorge Lima, sons Stephen Lima of Bristol and George Lima of Warren, granddaughters Sabrina and Brianna Lima of Warren. She was the sister of John Furtado, Esmaria Medeiros and Maria do Carmo Rego all of Bristol     

She was educated in Portugal. She was employed as a machine operator at Carol Cable for 20 and Hodges Badge for 8 years before retiring.  She was a proud American Citizen who loved cooking for her family and especially her granddaughters.

Her funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 2nd, 9:30 am from the George Lima Funeral Home, 367 High Street, with a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 am at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood Street.

Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Calling hours are 9:30-10:30 am.
