Manuel J. Faria, Passes Away at 88
Born Jan. 19, 1933, in Sao Miguel, Azores, he was a son of the late Manuel and Alzira (Ferreira) Faria.
In addition to his wife of 66 years, he leaves his daughter Betty Jean Francisco of Rumford; his son, Manuel “Michael” Faria (David Rudolph) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; 5 grandchildren, Melissa, Michael, Jennifer, Allison, and Linsey; and 10 great-grandchildren, Ethan, Jacob, Jaden, Lucas, Olivia, Gianna, JoJo, Jacob, Isabella, and Maverick.
He was the brother of Edaletro DeFaria of Westport, MA, Norman Faria of Virginia, Eleuterio “Teddy” Faria of Westport, MA, Adriana Ferreira of Westport, MA, the late Alberto Faria, and the late Emanuela Amaral.
He also leaves Mario Cabral, who has been a faithful and devoted friend to Manny for more than 30 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, Aug. 28, at 10 am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Taunton Ave., Seekonk.
Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Friday, from 4 pm until 8 pm in the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence.
