Kathleen M. (Bridgehouse) Wainwright of Providence Dies at 59

Kathleen M. (Bridgehouse) Wainwright, 59, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, June 13, 2022. She was the wife of Kevin D. Essington.

Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late E. Scott and Sheila A. (Fitzpatrick) Bridgehouse. Kathleen resided in East Greenwich before moving to Providence in 2019.

She was a graduate of URI and was employed by The Nature Conservancy, Providence. Kathleen and was previously employed by Lancaster Farmland Trust, Strasburg, PA.

Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Emily Wainwright; a son, John “Jack” J. Wainwright, III, both of Cumberland; two brothers, Michael Bridgehouse and his wife, Stephanie, of Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania and Thomas Bridgehouse and his wife, Melissa, of San Antonio, Texas; her loving aunt and uncle, Kathleen and Joseph Banas of Pawtucket; former husband, John J. Wainwright, Jr. of East Greenwich and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022 at 11 a.m. at WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. VISITATION will be Thursday, June 23, 2022 from 4 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to lancasterfarmlandtrust.org would be appreciated.
