Joshua Clark, of Providence, Passes Away at 79

Joshua Clark, 79, of Wood Street in Providence, peacefully transitioned to the Lord on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at the Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center.

Born December 6, 1941, in Louisville, AR, he was the son of Verda Lester. 

He came to Rhode Island in 2007. Joshua brought his impressive movie collection of over 500 Old Westerns with him. He was a skilled carpenter who specialized in upholstery, while working he was known to listen to the classic Blues songs of his childhood. His talents were mostly dedicated to chairs and couches but were known to correct and improve most fabric comforts.

Joshua was a devote Baptist who quickly settled in as a member of the Congdon Street Baptist Church.

Joshua was a devoted husband to his late wife, Andrea Hobdy who passed in 2011. Joshua was predeceased by his wife, Andrea; as well as his sister, Mary Lester. He is survived by his cousin, Karen Carson, as well as a host of other cousins, friends, and his church members.
